Tandem Health Human Resources Officer Wins South Carolina Primary Health Care Association IT Award

Congratulations to Jason Gray, Chief Information & Technology Officer at Tandem Health, on receiving the 2022 South Carolina Primary Health Care Association's (SCPHCA) “IT Professional of the Year Award” at the SCPHCA’s 38th Annual Conference.

The SCPHCA is the unifying organization for Community Health Centers (CHCs) in South Carolina. Tandem Health is one of 23 CHCs in South Carolina. The award is designed to recognize an outstanding Information Technology Professional whose expertise has been used to successfully develop and/or strengthen the technological infrastructure in a community-based health care setting.

Jason joined Tandem Health team in April 2021, bringing his extensive U.S. Air Force leadership and IT security skills to the organization and representing the best of ideals in leadership and strategic growth in the IT industry. He was nominated by Marion Richardson, the Corporate Compliance Officer at Tandem Health.

“During his time at Tandem Health, Jason has worked tirelessly to assess and implement strategic opportunities which directly impact patient care and customer service. He has led his team through numerous high-level projects and all of these initiatives were completed within a very short timeframe, on budget, and with no disruption to patient care.” said Richardson.

Richardson continued, “In a time when IT vulnerabilities are exploited on a daily basis, and the threats Community Health Centers/FQHCs face to keep pace with cybersecurity initiatives on tight budgets and overcome staff retention issues, Jason’s leadership has catapulted Tandem Health’s ability to be proactive in addressing these risks. He has developed a best-in-class IT Department, and his efforts have ensured Tandem Health’s commitment to protecting patient information and advancing technology for the benefit of the community we serve.”

“While Jason’s technical skills are certainly a critical component to his achievements, another attribute of equal if not more value to his success as a leader and IT professional is his character,” said Richardson. Jason puts the mission of the health center in action every day, prioritizing customer service in not only resolving IT issues upon request, but also proactively implementing solutions to address those needs that are unspoken.”

Congratulations Jason!
