Tandem Health Human Resources Officer Wins South Carolina Primary Health Care Association HR Award 

Congratulations to Kristen Varner, Human Resources Officer at Tandem Health, on receiving the 2022 South Carolina Primary Health Care Association's (SCPHCA) “HR Professional of the Year Award” at the SCPHCA’s 38th Annual Conference. 

The SCPHCA is the unifying organization for Community Health Centers (CHCs) in South Carolina. Tandem Health is one of 23 CHCs in South Carolina. The award is designed to recognize an outstanding Human Resources Professional in a community-based health care setting.

Kristen joined Tandem Health team in August of 2011. She was nominated by one of her employees, Sydney Reese, recruiting coordinator at Tandem Health.

“Kristen has been nothing short of an amazing leader, teacher, and role model not only to me, but to our entire Human Resources team here at Tandem Health,” said Reese. “She is incredibly selfless and is always looking for opportunities to help others, both in HR and in the surrounding departments of Tandem Health.”

Reese continued, “While Kristen is incredibly busy, she will always take the time to answer your questions or help you out with whatever you need. Kristen is one of the most deserving and hardworking people I have ever met!”
