About Carrington:

• Carrington was the inaugural graduate of the Tandem Health-University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy Residency in June 2022. After completion of her residency training, Carrington chose to stay a part of the Tandem Health family. She served as clinical pharmacist for the Family Medicine Sumter location for one and a half years. During this time, she also served as preceptor and advisor for the pharmacy residency program. Carrington now serves as Director of Clinical Pharmacy and continues to see patients within the Family Medicine department. She also now serves as the Program Coordinator for the pharmacy residency program.
• In 2021, Carrington started the first clinical pharmacy service at Tandem Health to assist patients and providers with Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. From this, the growth of clinical pharmacy services at Tandem Health bloomed. Clinical pharmacists are now able to see patients independently for blood pressure follow ups, diabetes management and education, smoking cessation, warfarin management and monitoring, and much more. Part of Carrington's role as Director of Clinical Pharmacy is to continue expanding clinical pharmacy services, as well as maintaining the success of current programs.
• Carrington has a strong passion for teaching the next generation of pharmacists. She works closely with local colleges to serve as mentor for pharmacy students during their experiential year of schooling. She also loves to take time to teach the family medicine residents about appropriate prescribing of medications.
• In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as her beloved pup Olly. She also loves to travel and try new restaurants.
