Team Tandem is proud to announce that our very own Dr. David Turell, Clinical Director of Pediatrics, has received the prestigious "Reach Out and Read" Outstanding Medical Champion award. Dr. Turell was chosen as the award recipient from provider nominations from across South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC. 

Reach Out and Read is a national nonprofit that champions the positive effects of reading daily. The program encourages healthy growth and early literacy for millions of children and shares the power of reading with families of all backgrounds and economic means. The program also provides families with an array of knowledge and tools to make reading a fundamental part of their daily routine.
