Say Boo To The Flu

The Tandem Health Pediatrics team held the first annual “Say Boo To The Flu” event on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the South Pike West office. The team gave out 109 vaccines in three hours.

The event was created to encourage parents to bring their children in to get their flu vaccine. Parents were able to bring all of their children at one time for the vaccine and celebrate Halloween with the staff.

Patients came dressed up in their Halloween costumes, received their vaccine and then were able to Trick or Treat on their way out down a ‘spooky’ hall with Halloween decorations and painted doors. The team offered candy, healthy snacks and lots of fun prizes.

The team also hosted a Pumpkin Contest during the event. Families were also able to vote on their favorite pumpkin decorated by different departments at Tandem Health. The winner was Olaf, created by Bree Poole, Tandem Health Pediatrics RN.
