Tandem Health remains committed to the health and well-being of our Sumter community. Tandem Health is able to offer our patients a remote virtual visit if you are unable to come to the center. When you arrive at any of our centers, everyone entering the building will go through a screening checkpoint including a temperature check.

ALL patients, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask at all times. Visits are limited to the patients only with a very few exceptions – only one person allowed with a pediatric patient or an adult who requires assistance.

We encourage everyone to:  * Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds   * Wear a mask in public   * Practice social distancing   * Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth   * Cough in a tissue and throw the tissue away   * Clean and disinfect frequently   * Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.

About Umer

  • Umer graduated from the American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine. He is one of the family medicine residents with the new Family Medicine Residency program. This program is a collaboration between Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, the USC School of Medicine and Tandem Health.
  • Umer has known since high school that he wanted to pursue a career in medicine.
  • He is inspired by his religious convictions and belief that everyone deserves the best possible healthcare.
  • In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing soccer, cricket, ping pong and baseball.
